This is a short video of Bixpy Jets installed on a Mako 12 Riot Kayak. There are two installs on this kayak. The first portion of the video shows the kayak running with a motor installed on the rudder. For this installation, we used our Universal Rudder Adapter (https://bixpy.com/bixpy-universal-rudder). We also installed the jet on the kayaks pedal system by removing the man-powered propeller and replacing it with a Bixpy Jet.

The Mako 12 has a very high hull speed the two motors installed on the kayak got us to speeds of about 7 MPH in a windy day and with the tide going out.

Even with the one motor on the rudder and the motor fighting the pedal drives, we were able to clock the kayak at over 4.5 mph.

You'll notice the pedals spinning free at about the 1:00 minute mark. Of course, the does affect the motor's output as it has to fight and spin the pedals.

As an assist system, with the motor running at the lower speeds on the rudder and very slow pedaling, the kayak reaches 4.0 MPH and can maintain that for 3 to 5 hours of continuous run time.
