Weyerhaeuser is partnering with World Vision to collect and deliver disposable diapers to North American families in need. To discuss this unique project, we invited Romanita Hairston from World Vision to be a guest at one of our companywide employee forums. In this video, Romanita discusses the critical need for diapers among those living in poverty in the U.S. About one in three mothers struggle to provide their babies with diapers, which are not typically covered under social safety-net programs. Working together, both companies will help close this gap by inspiring Weyerhaeuser employees from across the company to donate diapers throughout the month of March. World Vision will then deliver the diapers to parents in need using their existing distribution system. This important cause aligns well with Weyerhaeuser's Cellulose Fibers business, which uses a renewable resource to produce biodegradable fluff pulp that is used in a range of absorbent hygiene products.
