Target Audience: Men 18-25 Norms Message
One of four TV Spots produced with Scenarii Productions for the International Rescue Committees's "Break the Silence" campaign to prevent violence against women in Côte d'Ivoire. Virginia Williams is the IRC's Social Marketing Trainer and Consultant for the campaign. The three religious leaders at the end of spot are spokespersons for the campaign and are appearing on billboards and other print material as well. L to R: l'Abbé Abékan, l'Imam Cissé Djiguiba, Rev. Djiguiba: It's true that a third of our Ivoirian sisters are subjected to violence by their partner or husband. Waffo: Really? That's horrible and unacceptable. Abekan: Without a doubt, but that also means the majority of us know how to treat a women with the proper respect. Djibuiba: It's clear, that is why we are here, to remind everyone that peace begins at home, with love and respect between a man and a woman. Abekan: We are different, but there are many things that link us, that connect us. Together: We are a team against violence!
