This is my k'nex coaster that resembles the style produced by real life manufacturer/designer B&M. Lots of time and effort have gone into it. Enjoy!

To answer some of the more common questions I will prepare their answers below. Please read first before you ask again!

1.) How long did it take? It took me about 6 months to finish the model, but most of the time I was not working on it. I had a big pause due to lack of green track ties and sometimes other work came up with higher priority. Most of the work was done in the first 2 and last 2 weeks.

2.) How many sets did you use? At the time I had about 6-7 SS/RR sets and a lot of extra parts ordered from eBay and the K'nex website. I also had some smaller sets and an intermediate box of parts. Most of the pieces were used in building Minebuster.

3.) How can I build this/Where are instructions? There are no instructions to this model, I built it custom as I went along. I had an idea in mind of what elements I wanted to include, then designed to meet my floor space while still trying to maintain the realism.

4.) How much did it cost? All of the pieces I bought in sets or individually are worth at least $2000.

5.) What is the brake? The brake is nothing more than a little friction pad that sticks out of the track ties. It consists of 2 parallel rails of green & half moon connectors with their smooth sides up. When the train comes, the underside rubs the surface and slows down with friction.

5.) No inclined loop (sit-down)/double corkscrews on B&M? True, but I wanted to push the number of inversions to a maximum and I really wanted to try a design for an inclined loop, which hadn't been done up to this point previously. I don't know if I would have had enough speed for interlocking corks, but I never thought about including it to begin with. I guess it could have been done.

6.) How do you make the elements so smooth? With a lot of knowledge on how actual roller coaster elements look (company-specific) and A LOT of visual checks from every angle to make sure there are no bumps or irregularities. It's a long trial and error approach with different support connections, until you get the right one that gives the desired look of the track.

7.) How do you make a cobra roll? You should have a tower in the middle for the dip section and 2 towers in the shape of an upside-down L for the entrance/exit sections. Add track/support as you go until it looks perfect. I don't recommend building the whole support first, but now that you know how it should look, build it while adding track at the same time. Otherwise the track might not fit nicely with the entire pre-built support you've made.

8.) How do you get the SS car through the RR boosters? You have to sit the flexi-rods that go through the back of the track ties (the spine) onto the booster surface. DO NOT put the rods through the holes of the booster as you would normally do for the RR car. Because there is no support from the booster here, you will have to support the track heavily immediately before and after the booster. Also, you will have to cut off the protruding semi-circle protecting the friction wheels on either side, in order to expose them and allow the car to go through without hitting plastic.

9.) POV? Didn't have a mini camera. I might get one for my next coaster, but I've moved since and do not have a space to build in. It's pretty frustrating.
