One of the newer labels on the scene and also one of our favourites Fragments Records is back for their fifth overall release this week.

It's from Italian producer Max Gueli who is making his second appearance on the label with his first being a great remix of the first Fragments release Matt Raw - International Departure. Max has had some pretty major releases this year with appearances on Electronic Elements, Coldharbour and Armada, he continues an excellent run with his 'Wind of Wonders' EP for Fragments.

The title cut leads the EP off with sweeping vocal pads, pristine drums elements and a killer bassline with great key changes. The driving energy continues to build all the up to a spectacular drop where a very ethereal melodic lead in introduced, it sounds fabulous as the vocal pads sweep back and forth over top of it and as the breakdown progresses you reach a definite goose bump moment when the piano drops in. This is an amazing composition from Max and one of the better progressive trance records we've heard this year.

'Dreams From The Night Sky' closes the package out with a bit more of a laid back vibe but it is equally spectacular. This one has more of a progressive house feel with a slightly chunkier sounding groove and interesting beat patterns. The melodic elements and sweeping atmospheric sounds are as great as ever as the track approaches the drop. The track breaks down to a lovely wall of fuzzy basstones with great chord changes before picking back up more a great finale. Bigtime release for Fragments! Top notch stuff.
