The outrageous larger than life Darryl was the vocalist on "Love Can't Turn Around", the first House record to cross over pop in 1986. I instantly recorded him for the new label, Nightmare Records, just after leaving Record Shack, and we had this out by Christmas 1986, as the follow up to his hit. While not charting, it sold ten thousand and established the label, particularly round the world. Darryl, of course, went on Top Of The Pops, rolling around on the floor and kicking his shoes in the air, and the BBC had jammed switchboards.
