This unique Overdrive Pedal provides a range of tones from gritty low-gain spank to synth-like saturated overdrive. If you don't dig on Tubescreamer clones, then this might be just the overdrive for you. The combination of Germanium and Silicon transistors brings your tone the best of both worlds...

The Little Steamer pairs exceptionally well with tube amps, giving your guitar's upper harmonics a lift, making your tone come through a mix without sounding harsh.

The "Roast" control sets the overall gain, and "Steam" control lets you vary the tone from lower gain with enhanced string attack and upper harmonics to a smoother, dark drive tone. The "Clip" switch lets you further fine tune the pedal; engaging the clip switch further increases harmonic distortion and slightly compresses the tone. "Volume" makes it, uh, louder.

In the video I used a Vintage V100 LP-style guitar with Humbuckers, a Squier Classic Vibe Tele with single coil Alnico V pickups, and a Fender Strat with Texas Specials. The amp is a Ceriatone clone of a Marshall 18 Watt, and was set to break up a little bit, although the Les Paul was driving it rather hard. Recorded with a Shure SM7b into Pro Tools.
