In this 22-minute video the two initiatives of the Veterans Health Administration Veterans Justice Programs are highlighted. Beginning with the comments of VA Secretary Eric Shinseki, the critical importance of the VA and its justice/community partners identifying and responding to all Veterans in the criminal justice system is emphasized. Included is a detailed description of those services and benefits available to these Veterans aimed at addressing their unique needs, facilitating their positive reintegration into the community, and helping them break their cycle of justice system involvement. VA and justice system leaders are featured, along with the compelling stories of three Veterans who have benefitted from VA's targeted efforts. See http://www.va.gov/homeless/outreach/v... for the Section 508 compliant version of this video.
