The executive function (EF) is a complex cognitive activity. It makes reference to the capacities implied in problem solving, the formulation of goals, the planning for its profit, and execution in an effective way, knowing how to regulate. Are associated to the motivation, it brings back to consciousness of himself and the perception of his relation with the surroundings; the selective attention, the abstract reasoning, the alternative thought, the valuation of the different possibilities and the election of one of them as well as the development of a conceptual frame to direct the activity.
Most of investigations associate these ones with neurophsicological conditions of antisocial adult and adolescent subjects, since the deficits in EF are an important predictor of physical aggressiveness. We consider that the process of artistic creation keeps a great parallelism with the capacities implied in the EF.
