Crytek, it feels like you're not even trying. If this is the best gameplay you can produce then it's no wonder Crysis 2 happened.

1. There are two or three instances where the player takes enough damage to get the BLOODY SCREEN effect, then continues to get damaged until the blood effect suddenly (!) disappears, in other words the player just "died" in GOD mode. Considering the amount of damage being absorbed before bloody screen, the game is already set to super-easy mode. Easy mode is what a Crytek employee - tasked with producing gameplay videos - fails to play here. Just wow.

2. And then there's the constant enemy chit chat - it destroys immersion because the bad guys aren't a mysterious force trying to get to you, they "accidentally" inform you of all their plans.

Both of these factors combined make the enemies seem like silly B-movie extras once again. Great job presenting your supposedly revolutionary AI as a bunch of retards the player can simply ignore while trying to pull off lack luster "power moves" like kicking objects or stupidly dropping down from an elevated vantage point right into enemy fire.

In other news: The graphics are insanely good, I'm genuinely impressed, assets have Crysis 1 quality and occasionally even better (grass and other foliage). Just doesn't change the fact that this is yet another linear level, even more linear than the dam. There is zero freedom in this, exactly like Crysis 2. Maybe due to LOD the bigger levels (assuming you weren't just lying about them) don't look as nice on consoles but who are we kidding, all these demos are on PC any way! Console kids won't know until it's too late, after all that is what you and EA love about the market, naive pre-orders.
