Mohamed Ali al-Qawli from Yemen tells a visiting CODEPINK delegation the harrowing story about how his cousin and his 33-year-old brother Ali—a schoolteacher with a wife and 3 young children—were obliterated in a drone strike on January 23, 2013.

Mohamed recounts that the two young men were driving a taxi, picked up some customers, and then the taxi was hit by a drone. When Mohamed arrived at the scene, bodies were still burning and limbs were scattered around a 200-meter radius. You couldn't even find a full arm or leg. "For the Americans, our lives are worth nothing," says Mohamed. The US government has refused to even acknowledge the wrongful deaths, much less apologize or offer compensation.
