Haas 2C orbital rocket, a 30% larger variant than the one carried by IAR-111 supersonic plane.
Haas 2C will be launched from the ground in Spring 2013 during Mission 7 and will have as objective the flight testing of the Executor engine and to reach orbit, becoming the first fully made Romanian satellite. Mission 7 will also be a final test for the Moon launch of the European Lunar Explorer space probe, in the $ 30 million Google Lunar X Prize American competition.

ARCA presents from June 1st to June 3rd, in Victoria Square in Bucharest, the Haas 2C orbital rocket, a 30% larger variant than the one carried by IAR-111 supersonic plane.

Haas 2C will be launched from the ground in Spring 2013 during Mission 7 and will have as objetive the flight testing of the Executor engine and to reach orbit, becoming the first fully made Romanian satellite. Mission 7 will also be a final test for the Moon launch of the European Lunar Explorer space probe, in the $ 30 million Google Lunar X Prize american competition.
During Mission 7 the Haas 2C rocket will be one stage launched, being for the first time when is attempted to launch a satellite by a one stage rocket. This is possible because of the rocket tanks' construction technology of composite materials that are very light.
