Those returning from Zimbabwe to South Africa have been urged to take precautionary measures against typhoid fever. An alert has been issued by the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD).
This follows an outbreak of the disease in Zimbabwe. The Health Department is already prepared. Last year one person died in South Africa after contracting the fever and others were hospitalised.
