"Thanks for inviting us tonight, it's been an awesome party," I smiled over at Kevin as I said this.

"Yeah man, thanks, and happy birthday dude."

"No problem, glad you two could make it, and thanks, it's been a good birthday, quite eventful but a good one."

"See you soon,"

Nick and I said our goodbye's to Kevin as we walked away from his front door, him waving us off.

"Why don't we walk home?" Nick asked as he turned to look at me, a smile on his face.

"We can, if you want to." He nodded.

"It's a nice night; it'd be a shame to waste it." He expressed as he slung an arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer to him, I smiled at his touch.

Kevin already knew about Nick leaving his car outside his house and that he'd pick it up tomorrow morning. So I really didn't have a problem with walking back to his tonight, after all, it was only like a ten minute walk from Kevin's house.

And would you believe it, just my luck, five minutes into walking to Nick's house and it started to rain, like pour it down, it was already too late, there was no point in running, we were already soaked.

All of a sudden Nick stopped walking, right in front of me, I glanced up at him giving him a questionable 'what are you doing?' look, to which he held out his hands...

"Dance with me?" He asked, his voice sincere, I chuckled.

"What? Are you kidding? We're going to get soaked." I stated, thinking he was talking craziness right now.

"Chou, look at us," Nick grinned, laughing, "We're already soaked... Dance with me?" He repeated, I give it to him for not giving up, I shook my head chuckling.

"I can't believe I'm about to do this, in the middle of the street, in the pouring rain, with you, dancing."

He took my hands in his pulling us closer, he wrapped his arms around my waist, I then wrapped mine around his neck, smiling up at him, getting lost in his eyes.

"I love you," I whispered, almost too afraid to break our calming silence.

"I love you too," He smiled, swaying us from side to side.

We didn't need music, we didn't need anything but ourselves, dancing in the rain, this... this was perfect.

As I looked up at him and he looked down on me, he started to lean in, I leant up onto my tip toes, leaning the rest of the way, pressing my lips to his, his to mine, kissing him felt like sparks were flying everywhere... scratch that, every second I was with him I felt sparks fly...

'Meet me in the pouring rain, kiss me on the side walk.'
