March 2, 2012. The Covington/Newton County Chamber of Commerce and community leaders gathered at the Historic Courthouse steps for the second installment of "Ringing of the Bell." Throughout time, the ringing of a bell has signified there was news to be shared. We do have news to share, and the news is good. Jobs are being created in Covington and Newton County, and we want the world to know it. The first Friday of each month, businesses are welcome to announce job openings. Ditch the commute; work where you live.
