And on the other side of the ocean, the pegasus warriors and the earth pony villagers don't know what is bearing down upon them... and with the two intro songs out of the way, the stage is set. One of the more asked questions on the last video was why Rainbowdash isn't playing John Smith. Well, the reason behind the casting of Twilight was because of "Savages".

See, a lot of stuff happens really quickly in Savages, and in my mind the best way to do it properly was to divide the Native Americans and the settlers by species. The Hunchback set was a trial run for this one, to see if I could pull it off. Now, if Rainbow was to play Smith, then all the settlers would need to be at least a flying creature. And there is no pegasus, griffon, dragon, or any flyer who could fit the part of Governor Ratcliffe.

With earth ponies already fit in the role of Indians (Come on, who else could play the people of the land?), that left the unicorns. Twilight is the obvious pick out of them, as she is the most adventurous of that race we've seen so far. Rainbow might have made a great John Smith, but this one you can blame on just how few pegasus there are in the show. Besides, she's got another part to play here that's basically the same role. How many remember that there were TWO who were interesting in Pocahontas...?

Also... ignore Spike's little appearance. He's supposed to be with the pilgrims, but I really wanted to use that horn...

I do not own My Little Pony or Disney, but I have put on my blue suede shoes and I boarded a plane. Touchdown in the land of the Delta blues, in the middle of the pouring rain...
