We ride one of the four main Man-Powered Elevators, MPE "C", serving the public areas, and all hotel rooms, at the Marriott Marquis, Times Square, New York, New York. This was a rarity, as Schindler did not modernize the MPE at all, and does appear to be maintained by them: poorly. They creak a little bit, and seem a bit worn. Apperently, I was not the only one who had issues with the Mi-"Chronic" 10 elevators, and took the MPE instead. Funny thing is, near the very top, the fixed-incremented planes have nice carpeting, only to lead to a fire exit door. That seems pointless.
CURRENT MPE RECORDS: Floors Covered: 1 - 45 1/2 (44 1/2 floors, no 13). Height: 535 feet, continuous*
* Video states 550 feet, corrected with In-Video annotation. Forgot to include the 49'th floor, for the elevator machine room.
