Being Selfish -- http://www.noahhammond.com Today we're going to be talking about selfishness.

I really want you to become MORE selfish. And I know that it's counter intuitive and totally opposite to what you've been told your entire life.

The Reason for Being Selfish -- You Can't Give What You Don't Have

You've always been told to play well with others, share and always offer the last piece of food. And that is good in a lot of ways! That's really great for being social and having proper etiquette. The problem is that this very often osmosifies itself into other areas of your life and it becomes very detrimental.

Now, this is something I give some brief advice on in my "Ten Tips for Unlocking your Personal Power Seminar" so if you haven't, check that out. Definitely sign up with your name and email and you'll get instant access to that for free.

Basically the reason that selfishness is SO important is because many people are giving that which they do not have.

So many people are trying to give love when they're not even filled with their own self love. They are trying to give money or time when they're short on both of them. They try to give advice or any aspect of themselves really.

So many people are trying to GIVE before they truly HAVE...

And that is where the osmosis comes from. We were told to share and share, so we take it over into other areas of our life.

How to be Selfless? -- Take Care of Yourself First!

Now, I'm here to tell you that being selfish is the most SELFLESS thing you can do. Why is that? Because when you're selfish, you take the proper amount of care of yourself.

Fill yourself up with love, abundance, good food, money, etc...

Then, from that empowered state of abundance, you can POWERFULLY give to the world. You'll be in your highest vibration and best set point where you can give to the world.

So if helping out a friend means I'm not going to have enough time to meditate, I need to say no...

Meditation fills me with clarity and peace and when I'm in a peaceful clarified state THEN I can give my highest good to the world.

So I could compromise, I could be selfless and help out my friend but, I'm telling you to get selfish because then, you're going to be able to serve your highest good in this world. You'll be able to take this new awareness and look for even higher states of being and cause and effect even GREATER change out in this world.

This is true whatever your life's path or purpose might be.

So, to really sum it up, it's all about getting selfish. Fill yourself up with love or take the time you need for yourself for whatever it may be until you reach a place of balance and harmony and peace, enjoy and then you can be selfless and spread this to others.

Be selfish until you can be selfless!

If I can give you one implementable tip that you can do TODAY to start doing this, go out and get a massage, get your nails done, eat a really great meal, go take a sauna or go to a hot spring. Something that involves filling yourself up with feelings of calm, relaxation and peace.

Take care of your physical body and releases stress.

Now, a lot of you may do this on a regular basis but I bet a lot of you don't. And I'm telling you to fill yourself up with this good vibration so that you can give good vibrations to the world. When you are stress-free is when you can reduce other's stress.

If you are filled with stress, you are not in the position to help anybody. You can't give what you don't have.

So I want you to take today and if it's not possible today then make it happen tomorrow. Get yourself a 30 minute massage or eat a really great meal that's really nutritious and feeds your BODY and your SOUL. Something along those lines that really fills you with peace and happiness.
