Curt H. Hagedorn, M.D., the Cartwright Endowed Professor of Medicine and Chief, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition at The University of Utah Medical School, presented "Patients, Sequencing & Informatics: New Pathways for Identifying Molecular Diagnostics/Prognostics & Mechanisms for Inflammatory Pre-malignant Diseases" on April 18, 2013.

The talk focused on understanding clinical aspects of inflammatory liver diseases, the mechanisms of driving inflammation in chronic hepatitis C, and the role of serrated polyps in colon cancer and how new technologies have identify improved diagnostic tests to identify patients with these pre-malignant lesions.
