Rasberry Crazy Ants invading and destroying electronics and wildlife in Florida, Texas, and they are spreading throughout America.

As you know...I love animals and nature....because of that, I despise invasive species.

They are called the Rasberry crazy ant or tawny crazy ant originally from Brazil and Argentina... now found in certain areas of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and parts of Florida.

These invader ant attack and kill other species as well as hoarding all of the food sources to the destruction of the entire ecosystem.

In addition, it also completely destroys all electrical wiring it encounters, having now caused over 145 million dollars in damages.

These Rasberry Crazy ants are immune to insecticides and are so tiny, that millions... yes... millions of them can be hiding under a single rock.

"Crazy" is the term given to them by scientist as their behavior is described as completely random as they roam around aimlessly eating and drinking everything while creating a path of

destruction. I'd be more inclined to call them Rockstar Party Ants if you asked me.

For those of you who don't care about these ants potentially destroying our entire wildlife environment in America, then maybe you'll care about this. For some unknown reason, these ants

are particularly attracted to electronics and they have been destroying breaker boxes, electrical wiring in houses, and even laptops and iPhones.

It starts when one ant gets into one of these devices or wiring and bites into it, shocking itself, as it's dying it releases a scent into the air calling for all if it's buddies.

Thousands of other ants arrive and do the same thing until the electronic device is completely fried.

People in Texas call it "Rasberry" after the exterminator Tom Rasberry, who first noticed the ants were a problem in 2002 and now there are massive infestations in at least 20 counties in

Texas. Luckily for North Central United states, the ants appear to prefer the warmer climates and the humidity of the coast...for now.

It is advised that if you encounter these ants to contact a professional immediately.

Some people think these should be called "Human" ants, as they feel that's what humans do to the environment.
Go to new places, grab all resources, reproduce and even induldge self destructive behavior..

Many people are coming up with all kinds of creative ideas to kill these ants, like building some type of electronic killing device to attract them, maybe trying boric acid or hair spray and a lighter.

While others are seriously concerned as they feel there maybe no stopping them and this is natures way at getting back at us.
