Another rambling demo that attempts to cover everything in one shot, with as little digression as possible, but still very long. Also, I had to zoom in on the screen in post-op, so it's blurry in spots. That being said, it's a good snapshot of current gamestate. The sudden ending is just when my camera decided it had seen enough.
My camera is apparently very intelligent.
I think this is the first build where I removed the black background from the 'framed panels'. It definitely makes things more in scene, and probably a better art fit (sparse lines and circles), but it does NOT enhance legibility, which is why it was there in the first place. I just noticed it was costing me almost 4 frames a second to do it, and thought I should try it without for awhile. In general, I think I like it, and the legibility isssues can probably be resolved with smaller rectangles of background tinting (and not the whole window). Not sure why it's so expensive though, I imagine there is a cheap way to fill a large rectangle, though possibly it would have to be opaque. I admit I am being a weenie by using canvas, but let's pretend I am holding on to browser-compatibility.
