I wasn't too impressed by the other youtube covers available despite their praises and thousands of views, so I thought I'd have a go.

Glory Box is strangely both gloomy and sensual at the same time; also very catchy. What I enjoyed most about covering this was the jazzy solo in the middle that gave me enough freedom to improvise, but not so much that I would get carried away and invariably run out of ideas.

Interesting Fact: Glory Box is based on a sample from Isaac Hayes 1971 song, "Ike's Rap II"

From wiki:

"The very same sample of "Ike's Rap II" was used in four tracks at about the same time in the mid-1990s: Hell Is Around The Corner by Tricky, Glory Box by Portishead, Jorge de Capadócia and Salve both by Brazilian hip hop group Racionais MC's."
