NY SPIN: Does Agile Empower the Knowledge Worker? (Darren Drake) at NetCom Learning NYC on November 19 2013.

In the information technology industry, decisions impacting the design, construction and implementation of projects were solely the realm of architects and project managers. These decisions would be made and locked down at the outset of the project and tasked to subsequent business analysts, developers and quality assurance personnel to define, construct and test, respectively. In Agile, the entire team is brought together and stays together throughout the life cycle of the project. While Agile specialists will point to increases in quality and time to market, Darren Drake presents how the project members themselves advance and increase their value to the organization.

This session covers how early and consistent input from all disciplines improves:

1. Knowledge workers' self-efficacy and organizational buy-in.

2. Overall quality of the final application's solution.

3. Improved morale and shared responsibility.

4. Increased engagement, camaraderie and dedication to project success.
