It's a shame that the referee didn't use common sense and stop the fight at the first knockdown. There was a finality to the way that Mugabi reacted and it was obvious he was running on instinct and pride. Pro boxers at this level are an entirely different breed to us mere mortals. They can take blows that would finish almost all of us and they can dish them out too for so many rounds. Such fitness. All the same, they're entitled to a little protection from referees.
I remember in the Hagler fight Mugabi didn't know how to tie his man up when he fought Hagler.. Hagler schooled this boy, he learned real quick here, not that it did him much good. He was never the same after that fight, Hagler.
I noticed Mugabi's body does not look as strong as it did against Hagler. In the Hagler fight Mugabi's back was real wide and his shoulders were thicker and more muscular. Mugabi was never the same after the Hagler fight.

Terry was one of my dads fighters from Ten Goose boxing. In the first part of the video you can see my white haired dad standing in the corner. Terry is a rocket! This fight reminds me of Million Dollar Baby produced by Clint Eastwood many years later. Boy this brings back some serous memories.
