PLANS - http://i32.tinypic.com/28ku054.jpg

An apple press I made for pressing apples for some home made cider.

Before you start Sterilize everything.

Step 1: Collect apples
Step 2: Pulp them (I used a food processor)
Step 3: Press them
Step 4: Add a crushed Camden tablet to the wort (apple juice) to kill natural yeast and bacteria
Step 5: Measure the gravity and record it (this will be used to work out how strong it is)
Step 6: Wait 24 hours for the Camden to finish its work
Step 7: Siphon into a Demi John
Step 8: Add your own yeast (Beer, cider and wine yeast all work)
Step 9: Put on airlock
Step 10: Wait for your cider to be ready - from 1 week to half a year depending on the yeast.

Each 25 liters of cider has a variable cost of £2! :D
