On December 2, 2016 APA held a Congressional briefing on The psychology of poverty: How scarce resources affect our behaviors and decisions, and what we can do about it. The briefing included a discussion of the psychological effects of scarcity and an examination of how to alleviate its impact using behavioral science to inform federal programs and legislation.
