Yes, we have bears in Florida! The Florida black bear is a unique subspecies of the American black bear and is the state's largest land mammal.
NOTE: This video does not reflect that the Florida black bear was removed from the State List of Threatened Species in June 2012 or recent population estimates indicate approximately 4,350 bears statewide.
