Extract from a live performance by the Choir of Royal Holloway and Acoustic Triangle.
The famous "Miserere", as we know it in the 20th century, has been shaped by years of embellishment and improvisation around the original simple chant of Psalm 51. A contemporary slant on this timeless classic sees Tim Garland (soprano sax), Gwilym Simcock (piano) and Malcolm Creese (bass) improvising together with the Choir of Royal Holloway in a live concert recording from Romsey Abbey, July 2011.
