Although this morning's flyover report noted a metallic sheen about 200 yards offshore in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, you could not see it from land. Since Fort Morgan and Perdido Key had no reported oil matter, we went to the Lighthouse in Gulf Shores to see what we could find. We found people enjoying their day at the beach. All we saw washing ashore was some shells. Thanks to the winds and current our water is very clear today. The sun is shining brightly and there is a cooling breeze. It is a perfect day to play by the water's edge, fly a kite or lounge by the pool. If you tripled the amount of people on the beach it would almost look like a "normal" summer day!
