@cskatz01 Sonny Landreth. But they're completely different styles so it's tough to compare.

Don't get me wrong dude, I'm a Derek fanatic. I'm seeing TTB and BB King double headline in September, and I'm fucking pumped. But at the same time, Sonny uses something like 4 or 5 different tunings in one set, it's ridiculous. To be able to improvise in so many tunings, having an ear for how they sound, knowing scales and chords in all the positions (just like in standard), and at the same time keeping hold of your "sound", in this case as Sonny Landreth...it's insane!
no no sonnys good, dereks better tho man

Derek really rips on songs like this (Sahib Teri Bandi, I Wish I Knew...), straight up major blues with minor licks thrown in to make it more interesting, a lot of fun to listen to!
Jacob Tamarin
Derick T. started touring with the band when he was like 12. I bet thats why he's shy as f*ck now. LOL
@schwakma Thanks!
@sinsemilla1205 That's Mike Mattison, he sings with Tedeschi Trucks Band now as well as Scrapomatic.
