Asia held its breath when Obama came to power in 2008 in the hope that he'd be America's first "Pacific President". But with a gloomy domestic economy and a war on terror to fight, Asia was left on the backburner. However, during his recent trip across four Asia Pacific countries, Obama declared America's "deliberate and strategic" decision to "be all in" in the world's most economically vibrant region -- the Asia-Pacific. Does Asia matter, after all? Does it matter whether a Democrat or a Republican sits in the White House? This house believes Obama's re-election does not matter to Asia.
