Hey guys. Sorry for the lack of videos. I wanted to show you guys what I've done recently with the SA 85M. I replaced the Ironwood stock (which oddly cracked even though it was well fitted to the trunnion and tang. Disappointing, but I guess these things happen, right?

Matt from Ironwood replaced the stock free of charge no questions asked, so that good, but I decided to go another direction with the gun - adding a AK-74U style side folder. K-Var had been out of the one I wanted for some time, so when they got them in, I jumped on it. The model is the AK-BFS (link below). I like the concept, namely being able to replace the fixed stock with t a folder, but the way they do it on the BFS it increases the LOP by 1.75".

I was able to get this down to 0.75" increase by rebuilding the butt pad area of the stock by drilling out the tack welds, trimming down the top and bottom pieces by 0.75" (still keeping the end shape intact on those pieces where they meet the butt pad so make welding easier.

a bit of finish grinding after the welding was done, a shot of Eastwood chassis black, and it's looking good!

I also replaced the sling that was on the rifle with a (correct length) Krinkov sling I got from Midway (link below).
