In this new series by Pastor TIm Price, we explore the cultural and theological movements that led to the contemporary Christian church in America. Prepare for a historical and cultural thrill ride through some the of the greatest changes in American cultural history, and how they affected the church.
In this second session, Pastor Tim explores the effects of the 60s and 70s moral revolutions on the Christian church, and the growth of the Contemporary Christian Music movement, which intended to harness the the disillusioned members of the drug culture and create a Christian-flavored alternative to the popular rock music. Attempting to change culture and bring people in Christianity through Christian-only musical endeavors, the early CCM musicians left a mixed legacy still seen today!
