"Don't be a nobody. Don't throw your life away ... you gotta keep trying, you gotta never give up." The words of David Broxton, a member of the Valley Lodge Transitional Shelter and participant in the Carnegie Hall Musical Connections songwriting workshops held there. "I needed to be shown kindness and understanding. And I got it here. That was what I needed, that was the glue that held me back together again."

Musical Connections is a program of Carnegie Hall that offers diverse live music experiences for people in healthcare settings, correctional facilities, senior-service organizations, and homeless shelters across New York City.
