This video was recorded as we observed one of the first impacts of the oil spill on a Louisiana marsh habitat. The video documents the degraded oil emulsion penetrating the Roseau cane (Phragmites australis) fringing marsh vegetation just south of the historic North Pass, northeast of the Mississippi River South Pass, and 0.4 nm NE from the Pass a Loutre Lighthouse during CytoCulture's microbiological sampling on May 19. Test results can be seen at www.cytosolbiosolvent.com.
