Nennig won national titles in the 200-yard backstroke and as part of the 200-yard medley relay, helping the Eagles win the team championship. Nennig claimed Emory's only individual title at the meet, winning the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:58.86, marking the third-straight year an Eagle has won the event. She was also a part of Emory's winning 200-yard medley relay team, swimming the backstroke leg and helping the squad to a time of 1:42.27. Nennig added all-America performances by finishing second in the 200-yard individual medley with a school-record time of 2:02.78, fourth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.47 seconds, and third as part of the Eagles' 400-yard medley team, which recorded a time of 3:45.74.

She now has three National Championships and 10 all-America honors during her two year career. She along with 10 other Emory Eagles are continuing to train with hopes of making it to the 2012 Olympic trials.
