Part 5 in a series on how to make a longbow from an ash tree. In previous installments (see playlist, below), we selected a tree and split it, then shaped and tillered the longbow. Brian being Brian he also carved figures into each end of the bow. Now it's time to treat the wood. Brian being Brian he made his own wood stain out of black walnuts. Brian also fashioned an arrow rest from a deer antler, and added a leather grip.
