The reason I have so much faith these days is because I believe the LORD is as tangible and real as his son. The byproduct of the tangible perspective is that they must be from a tangible civilzation; i.e. Heaven. After that it didn't take long to realize, "Oh, that's how they do it!" As in, "That must be how life is like in the kingdom of heaven." When you start to realize that heaven is a real location, as described by Jesus, then you start to accept the principles in scripture. So at this point, I don't live a good life to get to heaven. I live a good life to set the example for others and illustrate how blessed we all can become if we just live by his commandments.
Its hard to believe in something you can't see and that's why its hard for people to believe in god. Would it be easier to believe that, "An advanced civilization, whom went through the same trials and tribulations before us, developed a system that allowed them to live harmoniously. In a 14.7 billion year old universe, is it not possible that 'god' put these concepts in scripture as a means of teaching all of our generations these fundamental principles to living a good life?"
Even if we refuse to agree on the divinity, origin, or translation of scripture; isn't it's message fundamental and relevant to enjoying a better quality of life? The alternative leaves a very uncertain future for the generations to come.
John 6:57-59 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
Matthew 10:33 But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
If you deny the fact that Jesus's father is as living as you and me, then you are denying the testimony of Christ. If you deny the testimony of our savior than you are in fact denying the son of god! And he will then deny you before his father in heaven!
