For many older adults, a time comes when they can no longer drive safely, and it may be difficult for them to accept. Approaching older adults with concerns about their driving can be a challenging conversation. Everyone ages differently, so while some people can continue to drive into their seventies and eighties, others cannot, or should not.
Gale Morgan, Vice President with Splendido's parent company Mather LifeWays and Retirement Living Contributor on KVOA News 4, says as difficult as it may be to confront an older adult about driving, if there is reason to believe that the person could be dangerous or in danger behind the wheel, it is important to discuss the issue sooner rather than later.
