This is a song that my Dad used to sing all the time when I was a kid. It is taken from Irish tenor Finbar Wright's Album of the same name and is one of his signature songs.

The song itself is not well known, and I don't know any other artist to have recorded and released it. I'm sure plenty of Irish people know and love it, and I think it's about time it was on Youtube.

The song was originally written by Mike Batt for his scarcely known musical "The Hunting of the Snark" which was itself inspired by Lewis Carroll's nonsense poem of the same name, written in 1874.

I hope you enjoy.
