Albuquerque police are actively searching for a gunman who fired shots at UNM Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
Albuquerque police spokeswoman Tricia Hoffman has named Daniel Cesar Dominguez-Garcia, 21, as the gunman and says he has fled the scene. He is believed to be armed.
Dominguez-Garcia is described as a Hispanic male with a thin build, bald, and was wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and white shoes. He has a tattoo of three dots under one eye and another tattoo on his neck. If you see him, call police.
Hospital security says that two shots were fired on the 6th floor of the building in general pediatrics around 3:15 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
Preliminary reports by APD say that Dominquez-Garcia was at the hospital with his girlfriend. The two got into an altercation which caused Dominguez to fire his gun in the hallway.
