I wrote this song when I was music director for Don Johnson. Brother Johnson recorded it on one of his albums, and a lot of people think he wrote it.

He was peeping over my shoulder as I was finishing it, and he said, "I want that song.."

One day brother Johnson was working on a song and was in a hurry to go preach at a conference. He handed me the song and said, "See what you can do with it, I don't have time to finish it..."

I did finish it and after I moved on from Memphis to Canada and other places, one day I got a call and brother Johnson wanted me to preach for him. My daughters and I had recorded it and taught it to people all over the country.

The people at the Church in Memphis loved the song and bought several tapes after Church. Brother johnson even asked for a tape. Again he said, "I want that song..." Then he asked me where I got it... After telling him a long story about all the things I went through before writing the song, I finally came to the part about how the song came to me... I told him I was sitting at the piano in Memphis when a preacher handed me a note and asked me to do something with it if I could... Brother johnson was shocked that we were actually singing his song. All I did was add a verse and some harmony.

Those were some really great moments. I cherish all the memories of our years with brother Don Johnson and his wonderful Church family.
