Pinellas County and the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County (DOH-Pinellas) dedicated a Fitness Zone at Lealman Neighborhood Park, 3890 55th Ave. N., St. Petersburg on May 24.

Fitness Zones are outdoor recreation areas with people-powered equipment. Wheelchair-accessible exercise equipment is also available. The project was funded by the DOH-Pinellas' Partnerships to Improve Community Health grant, which is administered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to provide more opportunities for physical fitness and healthy nutrition in communities around the nation.
