OBJECT: Future was a site- specific theatre performance created by Western Edge Youth Arts and young people in Melbourne's west working with professional artists in a challenging creative process. Set in a futuristic world where young people are given performance enhancing drugs, an anti-government group invites you to a mysterious event where you can 'devour your deepest desire', and where 'credits' can buy you love.

OBJECT: Future was devised in close collaboration with a long-dedicated Sunday Theatre group and, in separate workshops, the Sudanese Young People's Performance group. The two groups were brought together at the end of the process. For this project outside artists were invited by the company's management to introduce a new way of presenting theatre. Working to balance all these interests has motivated all involved to challenge themselves, through stimulating discussions and creative risk-taking.
