Designed and managed by Paolo Soleri in the 1970s, Arcosanti strives to design it's buildings for multiple uses while blending them in with the landscape rather than imposing the buildings upon it.

Currently there's a small on-site hotel with a wonderful view, a pool, and an art gallery and store. Some of Soleri's architectural designs are displayed, including some of Taliesin West, the first town to feature elements from his designs and ideas.

Visitors are treated to a tour of the facility, including the foundry where they make bronze bells and sculptures. The process is fascinating to watch as the crew pours molten bronze onto several molds.

Arcosanti is located about half way between Phoenix and Flagstaff and is definitely worth the visit!
