The Galway Rambler: Antoine O Raifteiri and the Roots of Irish Cultural Identity
"My project looks at the impact of Anthony Raftery, a century blind poet and fiddle player from Co. Mayo, Ireland , upon Ireland's cultural landscape upon his 'discovery' by Irish writers Lady Gregory and Douglas Hyde. A major part of the project is the performance component, where Raftery's poems and other music/poetry connecting to Ireland will be presented." -- Caroline O'Shea, Providence College '12
