My Maiden flight of the Flyzone 350 Corvalis on March 13th 2011. It was a little windy but I just had to get this baby up and fly it! By now I have been flying for close to 3 months (weekends here and there) and slowly improving with each flight...
As a beginner I used the Real Flight Simulator 5.5 to practice my flying skills (about 3 to 4 weeks). I then purchased the FlyZone SkyFly Max and the Flyzone Cessna 182 Skylane Select from Tower Hobbies. After a few weeks of practicing on those planes (first the skyfly and then moved to the 182 skylane). I finally worked up the courage to a low wing plane. I liked the Corvalis so I decided to use this plane as my first low wing plane. I chose the Flyzone models because I liked how easy they are to assemble and fly. If you are interested in getting into this hobby my recommendation from my own experience would be to use a simulator and consider the SkyFly max as a trainer to start... Once you get comfortable with orientation and the controls you can easily move to more intermediate planes. For a radio I chose to go with the Futaba 6EX 6 Channel 2.4GHz. Thanks for watching!
Thanks to my awesome wife for video recording!
