In an early morning press conference explaining why he had canceled his April 18th town hall meeting at the University of Rhode Island, Ron Paul shocked supporters and nay-sayers alike with the announcement that he was dropping out of the Republican primaries. When asked if he planned to run on his own ticket, Paul declined to comment but thanked his contributors for their continuing support. Could this signal an end to the Ron Paul campaign, or does Dr. Paul have another move up his sleeve for the 2012 election?
