Home Remedies to Stop Dry Heaving

Dry heaving is the situation when you feel like vomiting but nothing emerges out from your mouth. Sometimes a person can also feel dizziness, nausea or cramping and in the stomach. The dry heaving mostly occurs with pregnant women in the first trimester but it is not compulsory anyone can feel dry heaving. Wrong eating habits, poor digestion, weak immunity, gas and bloating can be responsible for dry heaving.

Dry heaving can be easily controlled by basic home remedies; in this article, we are going to introduce some effective home remedies to stop dry heaving, let’s take o close look:-

1. Drink plenty of water:

If you are having dry heaving then try to keep you hydrated, drink plenty of water in a day. You must take 8 to 10 glass of water in a single day. Dry heaving can spoil the taste of your tongue so if you do not like the plain water then you can add some lime juice into it. You can also have orange or apple juice for better digestion or you can also take herbal tea included mint and lemon. Drink slowly and calmly do not make it fast, fluid intake will improve your digestion and filter your kidney as well as help to control dry heaving.

2. Have something sweet:

Eating something sweet, especially when you are feeling like vomiting or nausea can raise your blood sugar level up and stop dry heaving. You can eat any sweet candy or a small chocolate with less caffeine, whatever you like. Even if you will notice then your body also demands something sweet because it is the alarm that basic nutrients have been missing from your body.

3. Eat light food:

Soup, pudding, corn flakes, toasts and cereals are said to be the light food. When you are feeling like dry heaving or bad taste of your mouth and you don’t want to eat anything then you need not starve. Light food without heavy spices and chilies will help you to feel better. The light food is easy to digest and it will also reduce the abdomen movements and dry heaving as well.

4. Take your meal in small portions:

Make sure that do not keep your stomach empty, eat small meals in the gap of 1 or 2 hours rather than eating heavy and big meals three times in a day. If you are a permanent patient of dry heaving then set your diet plan. Also if you feel dry heaving in morning time then keep something to eat aside your bed and have a bite after waking up. An empty stomach can increase dry heaving so avoid it.

5. Avoid caffeine:

Caffeine is highly responsible for dry heaving, gas and bloating. So if you are a tea or coffee lover then must avoid that, because it can increase your problem more. Some chocolates have also much quantity of caffeine, before eating them must check the label of the quantity of caffeine.
