18.08.2010. Northern Kings vocalist JP Leppäluoto (Charon, Harmaja) performs Dire Straits song "Brothers In Arms" at Tavastia club, Helsinki, Finland.

"Brothers in Arms" is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Dire Straits, released in 1985. With the same name is this album`s title track - "Brothers in Arms" written by Marck Knopfler.

Northern Kings included song in their second cover songs album "Reborn" (WMF 2008)

@Twbolt i'm with you on this one dude. nothing can beat a Dire Straits original. Mark's lack of emotion as WitchHannah insinuates is part of the song. it's about the sorrow and pain of war, so his voice works as it sounds like he's giving up. this is far too upbeat, but the guys are still the ownage as you say

Alright let me start this by saying I love heavy metal. Finnish metal too like early bodom and kalmah. I've seen bodom and would see kalmah if they ever tour out of thier own country. But come on. I like the fact that this song has worldwide appeal but this was bad. Cross genre remakes are extreamly tough and these guys murdered it. All talented guys though.
Must say that in my view this Mark Knopfler`s song "Brothers in Arms" cover is the best one what I ever heard. So suitable this heavy rock arrangement, very good choice - vocals by JP Leppäluoto. His low voice for this song ... excellent and excellent is his presentation of this song. Thanks all Northern Kings musicians and ... Juha Pekka Leppäluoto for great vocal performance! :)
